On June 28, known as Pi2Day in the Pi Network community, there were many updates for the ecosystem, but some were overlooked due to the attention on Pi App Studio. The Core Team released a video explaining some of these updates. Pi App Studio is an attempt to create a world where anyone can create and run apps without needing a technical background. The Core Team also discussed the latest versions of Pi Nodes, which were renamed to Pi Desktop. They encouraged Pioneers to download the new version and continue running Nodes to receive mining rewards. Despite these updates, Pi’s native token, PI, continues to struggle and has not seen a significant price surge despite the overall market resurgence. This could be due to low liquidity, concerns over centralization, weak investor confidence, and token unlocks.
