China’s Exports Surged in July as Companies Raced to Beat Trump Tariffs

China is shipping more goods to Southeast Asia and other regions that often re-export them to the United States. China still sells three times as much to the United States as it buys.According to a recent report from The New York Times, China has increased its shipments of goods to Southeast Asia and other regions, which are often re-exported to the United States. Despite this trend, China’s sales to the United States still remain three times higher than its purchases from the country.
