U.S. Imports Slid in June on Higher Tariffs

Imports from other countries fell around 4 percent from the previous month as President Trump’s steep tariffs discouraged businesses from ordering goods.The New York Times reports that imports from other countries have experienced a significant decline of approximately 4 percent in the past month. This drop has been attributed to President Trump’s implementation of steep tariffs, which have discouraged businesses from placing orders for goods.
